United States of America Once again, the economy did better than expected on Friday. The job market added 353,000 new jobs in January.


The information shows that 2023 was the year with the most new jobs since 1999, except for the two years right after the pandemic when the economy was getting better.


The Bureau of Labor Statistics said that most of the new jobs were in industries like healthcare, social assistance, and government. People also earned 0. 6% more per hour than the month before, which was double what experts thought it would be.


The United States spoke to the news on Friday. President Joe Biden said that the new numbers show that America's economy is the best in the world, and he pointed out that the United States is doing well. He created nearly 15 million jobs since he became president in January 2021.


"I will keep working to reduce costs and boost the economy for middle and low-income people," he said.


American voters are still unsure about Biden's economic plan, but their opinion could change.


Despite the economy doing better than expected, a CNN poll shows that most American voters still think it's not good. Additionally, 63% of people do not approve of how President Biden is handling the economy. A CNN analysis said that this could be a big problem for Democrats trying to convince people to support Biden's economic ideas. Biden's ideas for the economy are making a difference, according to Newsweek. Inflation is getting lower after going really high for 40 years, and some states are doing better with money after having lots of people without jobs and expensive gas. Financial Times writer Rana Foroohar says that people's views on the economy change slower than the actual facts. People are feeling better about the economy recently and they don't expect prices to go up as much in the future.

New York Times writer Paul Krugman thinks this is the best economy we’ve had since the 1990s. He disagrees with critics who say that Biden’s spending on progressive policies caused problems.
